QuickRecap ("we," "our," or "us") is developed by Basam Ismaeel. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the QuickRecap app.
Account Information
When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, our authentication provider (Supabase) handles your identity. This may include your email address, a unique user ID (UUID), and OAuth session tokens. If you use "Hide My Email" with Apple, we receive only the anonymized relay address Apple provides. Sign-in is required to use QuickRecap. Session tokens are stored on your device using the platform’s secure storage conventions.
On-Device Data
All saved episodes, moments, summaries, timestamps, artwork URLs, and preferences are stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This content is not uploaded to QuickRecap-owned sync servers in the current app version (cloud APIs below are only used for features you trigger, such as transcription and summarization).
Clipboard Access
QuickRecap reads your clipboard when you return to the app to detect podcast links you may have copied. Parsing happens to help you import links; if you start a summarize flow, related data may then be sent to the third-party services listed below as needed for that feature.
Siri & Share Extension
When you use Siri or the share sheet to save an episode, the episode metadata (title, URL) is processed to initiate a save action (including via app extensions and local queues where applicable).
Audio & motion (optional features)
Microphone audio may be sent to transcription providers only when you choose to record or summarize audio. Where enabled, motion sensors may be used on-device to detect shake gestures for shortcuts.

We do not sell your data to any third party. Data sent to third-party APIs is used solely to provide the feature you requested.
On-device data remains until you delete the app or clear app data. Account data held by Supabase is retained until you delete your account. You can request account deletion by contacting us at the email below.
QuickRecap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
